Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Autumn Embers® Encore® Azaleas in an area that receives full to partial sunlight (a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight daily). Although Encore® Azaleas prefer to get some afternoon shade, they can tolerate full sunlight.
Dig a hole large enough to accommodate your Encore®'s root ball, place your shrub, and backfill the soil.
2. Watering: Your Autumn Embers® Encore® Azaleas will adapt to your natural soil even if it's sandy or heavy in clay, as long as it's well-draining. Keep your soil moist, but not over-saturated. Your Encore® Azaleas will only need extra water during times of drought.
3. Fertilizing: In the early spring and early fall, you can give your Autumn Embers™ Encore® Azaleas acidic fertilizer per label instructions. Fertilizing isn't required but it does help encourage bigger blooms.
